In the fourth round of Group B in the European World Cup qualifiers, Sweden will host Kosovo at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg. In September, the Dardanians upset the Scandinavian side in the first-leg match in Pristina with a 2–0 victory. The teams have previously met on Swedish soil — during the last World Cup qualifying campaign in 2021, the Blue and Yellows defeated the visitors 3–0 in Solna. Last month, the Balkan team opened their qualifying run with a 2–2 draw against Slovenia in Ljubljana, conceding an equalizer in the 90th minute. Meanwhile, Jon Dahl Tomasson’s men suffered a heavy 0–4 loss to Switzerland in Basel in the opening round.

The hosts have won eight of their last nine home games. In seven of those matches, the Scandinavian side scored at least twice. The national team last drew at home back in September 2022, when the Blue and Yellows shared the points with Slovenia in the UEFA Nations League (1–1). Sweden have remained unbeaten in competitive home fixtures since the fall of 2023, when they suffered a 1–3 defeat to Austria.

Kosovo have recorded four wins and four losses in their last eight away matches. During that stretch, the Golden Boys conceded 14 goals and kept a clean sheet only against Cyprus (4–0) and Armenia (1–0). In half of those matches, the Balkan side failed to score. Over the past two and a half years, the Dardanians have drawn only once on the road — a 1–1 result against Switzerland in the Euro qualifying campaign.
