In Round 8 of Group K in the European World Cup Qualifiers, Andorra and Serbia will face off at L’Estadi de la FAF in the town of Encamp. The teams met earlier in the first leg of the qualifiers in Leskovac, where the hosts secured a convincing 3–0 victory, with Qatar’s Al-Rayyan forward Aleksandar Mitrović scoring a hat-trick. Before that, the sides had never met. This upcoming match will mark the Tricolors’ debut at their new home ground, L’Estadi de la FAF, which opened in May 2025. The stadium, built at a cost of fifteen million euros, can accommodate 5,108 spectators.

Serbia claimed a 3–1 win. The hosts earned their first point of the current qualifying campaign after a goalless draw with Estonia in a friendly and even managed to score their first goal of the qualifiers in this match against Serbia. Earlier, Andorra had lost to England 0–2 and 0–1, to Albania 0–3, and to Latvia 0–1. In the match against Serbia, Andorra’s lone goal came from López. Koldo Álvarez’s side has not won a home match in official competition for over three years — their last home victory came back in June 2022, when the Tricolors defeated Liechtenstein 2–1 in the UEFA Nations League D Division.

Serbia drew with Albania in Tirana 0–0, beat Latvia 1–0 in Riga, and suffered a heavy 0–5 defeat at home in Belgrade against England. The White Eagles have drawn three of their last four away matches. Their aforementioned win in the Baltic region was their first in an official tournament since September 2023, when the successor of Yugoslavia beat Lithuania 3–1 in the Euro qualifiers. Thanks to the victory over Andorra, Serbia reached 10 points and remained in contention for second place in Group K, currently held by Albania with 11 points. Saudi Al-Hilal striker Aleksandar Mitrović scored again in this match.
