In the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage, Ecuador and Curaçao will meet at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. The most notable results included a 1-0 victory over Argentina, a 2-1 win against Uruguay, and a 0-0 draw with Brazil. In attack, Enner Valencia played a key role, participating in eight of the team’s fourteen scoring moves.

Curaçao qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in its history. Previously, footballers from the country competed as part of the Netherlands Antilles national team. During the recent qualification cycle, the team did not suffer a single defeat and scored twenty-eight goals. Forward Kenji Gorré recorded six goal contributions, while Juninho Bacuna added five productive actions to his tally. Another striker on the squad, Jearl Margaritha, scored five goals in six matches during the final stage of qualification.
