The Faroe Islands national team traditionally builds its game around athleticism, strict discipline, and a clear advantage in aerial duels. The hosts plan to play on the counter, setting up a compact defensive structure and looking for opportunities from set pieces and occasional counterattacks. The Slovak national team has a higher-profile group of players and plans to control the match from a position of strength. The visitors have studied their opponents' style of play in detail and will look to deny the hosts possession, relying on quick movement in the final third and the high individual quality of their attacking players.

These opponents previously met in official competition during European Championship qualifying, when Slovakia recorded two victories. This will require the Faroe Islands players to maintain maximum concentration and avoid repeating the mistakes of those previous encounters.
