The Spain national team enters this round as the newly crowned world champion, having recorded five consecutive victories, including a 1-0 win over Argentina in the final. The hosts plan to take control of possession from the opening minutes and dictate the terms on home turf, using quick movement in the final third and the high individual quality of their attacking players. The Czech national team, by contrast, is going through a slump, having failed to win any of its last three official matches and suffering a heavy 0-3 loss to Mexico. The visitors will set up tactically with an emphasis on a compact and physical defensive approach. In the central area, the Czechs will rely on the physical strength of their captain, Tomáš Souček, while in attack they will look for opportunities through long balls toward Patrik Schick and set pieces. The head-to-head history between these opponents in the Nations League includes their 2022 meetings: Spain won 2-0 at home, and the away match ended in a 2-2 draw. The upcoming matchup will give the Czech players an opportunity to correct the mistakes of previous matches, while the hosts will look to confirm their status at the highest level.
