The Switzerland national team enters this round in excellent form, having recorded four wins in its last five matches in official competitions, including convincing results against Algeria, 2-0, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, 4-1. The hosts plan to play actively from the opening minutes, apply intense pressure to the opponent's defensive structure, and dictate the terms through their well-established core. North Macedonia, by contrast, is going through a deep slump, having endured a prolonged winless run and suffered heavy defeats to Wales, 1-7, Denmark, 0-4, and Türkiye, 0-4. The Balkan team will look to build solid defensive blocks, denying Swiss midfielders space for dangerous passes, and will rely on high intensity in physical duels down the wings. For the Macedonian players, this match is an opportunity to end their difficult run, while the hosts will do everything possible to reinforce their status as the favorite.
