Kick-off: October 9, 2026, at 15:30.

On October 9, at the Avanhard Stadium in Rivne, a round 8 match of the Ukrainian Premier League kicks off: Veres — Shakhtar. The Rivne club has not beaten the Donetsk side on home turf since September 1993, when that historic meeting ended 2-0. However, in the autumn meeting two seasons ago at the same venue, the hosts sensationally took points off the reigning champion, finishing the match in a 1-1 draw. The Donetsk team arrives for this away fixture after a series of confident clean-sheet wins in head-to-head matches in previous seasons.
