He was the founder of the new trend in journalism as gonzojournalism that was a movement in 60's with a highly subjective style of narration. Quotations, sarcasm, humor, hyperbole, profanity use was an integral part. Thompson developed this style making it in a powerful tool of influence on the current reality. He was a unique man who wrote excellent books and a very good movie is shot about him.
