Ike Turner (1931-2007) is an American musician and producer. His composition “Rocket 88” in 1951 was consideres as the first song in the rock and roll style. He created the band “The Kings of Rhythm”. He worked with Tina Turner (who was his wife for 16 years). They achieved popularity and received many awards including Grammy. Their duo worked closely with Phil Spector. After breaking with Tina (personal as well as creative) in 1976 he had problems with drugs and also Ike Turner got into prison. Further creative work didn’t have previous success until 2001 when his album was nominated for Grammy.
