A sailor without documents gets seriously ill during the voyage. He gets landed on the island in the Mediterranean Sea. There he meets Silvana, who nursed him. They live together, engaged in the fisheries. Everyone considers him as a German, and he suffers from amnesia and can’t remember where he came from. But once Silvana hears how her new friend mumbles something in his sleep in Russian. When the sailor finds this out, he decides to return to Russia.
