Anatoly has been serving a sentence since childhood. After serving nine years he decided to make a confession to the detective Khlebnikov that he and his peers killed a man during a fight 10 years ago. But over the years, the kids from the block have grown into a common members of society. The law requires punishment, but will it damage the future of these people and their families? When Anatoly comes out of prison he meets Khlebnikov, feeling attraction to a man who sympathized him and believed him. The former convict has to adapt to the life outside prison, having no experience of an adult life. But not everything goes well, and the detective is forced to help him again and again not to let Anatoly make it to the prison again.
