The movie tells about children from the Ukrainian boundary city Kamenets-Podolsky who become witnesses and participants of revolutionary fights for the Soviet power. Action of the movie shows the period beginning from prerevolutionary to the 1930s. Secret worker-Bolshevik Sergushin helps workers' children Vasily Mandzhura, Yuzek Starodomskomu, Petro Maremukh to understand the sense of classes.
