At first, the power of the Queen on the Meridian planet was absolute. But as a result of the coup, the power went to the Prince Phobos. Elyon, the legitimate heir to the throne and the daughter of the last queen was transported to Earth, in a small city of Heatherfield, which remained faithful to the queen. When Prince Phobos got into power, Meridian turned into a grim, practically unlighted by the sun planet. Phobos’s intentions towards other world were aggressive. He wanted to gain dominance over them. In order to protect other planets, the Council of Kandrakar planet creates a “magical wall” around Meridian, called the Veil. However, the sometimes there appeared gaps, portals to other planets, including Earth. To close the portals to Earth were called the Guardians. Their aim is to guard the Earth from invasion and help the anti-government movement on Meridian. The movie starts in the city of Heatherfield, when the next generation of Guardians was summoned.
