1992, Abkhazia. A picturesque ancient Estonian village between the mountains and the sea has become desolated when the villagers had returned to their homeland. The only people to stay in the village are Ivo, the owner of a warehouse, his neighbour, tangerines grower Margus and a local doctor Juan, who is within an inch from leaving the village. Margus is also planning on moving to Estonia, but only after he harvests his tangerines. War comes to the village, and Georgians and Abkhazians clash in a battle. As the battle is over, Ivo and Magnus come across the Chechen mercenary Ahmed, who was fighting on the Abkhaz side. Ivo brings him to his house to heal him. At night, while burying the dead, Margus finds another survivor, a young Georgian boy named Nick. He also brings him to his home. Thus, two warring fighters find themselves under the same roof…
