Dan and Rora vs. Corporation C
Dan and Rora vs. Corporation C
For the first time in Ukraine, an animated comic book has appeared that tells teenagers about the importance of taking care of their mental health. It was created as part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program “Are You Okay?”, an initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.
The comic book plot revolves around the densely populated metropolis of Chestnut City, where humans, elves, goblins, and orcs live in harmony. It's a relatively near future, the age of technology, but living creatures still prevail over artificial intelligence and, above all, remain living beings with feelings and emotions, as well as physical and mental health. The once flourishing Chestnut City has lost its colors, as its residents are increasingly consumed by stress, tension, and a depressing sense of futility caused by an unprecedented number of problems. An evil scientist genius is behind the troubles that have befallen the metropolis. Many years ago, the city turned its back on him — he felt bad. Green parks, chestnut trees, and elegant glass skyscrapers no longer pleased the hero's eyes, the city only mocked him, and even his brother called the man "weak." So the character left, but the scientist promised himself that he would make an effort to make sure that every resident of Chestnut City knew what stress, anxiety, panic attacks, and depression were. A pair of inquisitive teenage friends and a former scientist will organize their investigation around the events in the city — they will find out the true story of the evil genius and save the metropolis. Their work will be hampered by the scientist's henchmen and the stress that consumes the city, so they will need to learn about mental health.
The comic book was created with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the Building a Resilient Public Health System project, which implements the Pact.
