The movie shows the training of a platoon formed in 1943 by volunteers from America and Japan. The soldiers were commanded by the infamous Lt. Michael Grayson. They were in Italy and France and distinguished themselves in various battles. Grayson soon gets rid of his prejudice, realizing that his men are serving better than himself.
