An expedition arrives on a tropical island in the Pacific Ocean. The local inhabitants worship a mysterious deity called Gappa. Soon, an earthquake occurs, and a baby reptile is found in one of the caves. The foreigners are advised not to take it to Tokyo, but they ignore the warning. Later, its parents appear in the capital, ready to wreak havoc on the entire city to protect their offspring.
