Cheri’s mother Charlotte is a former famous courtesan, asks her friend Leia to help to bring to his senses her son, who leads a dissipated life, and to teach him to be serious. Despite her age, Leia has kept her feminine charm and knows how to use it well. She never had children but has maternal feelings and at an early age gave him a nickname Cheri (Honey).
