Late 19th century, bohemian Paris. A passionate love triangle unfolds between two poets and Marie de Heredia. To pay off her father’s debts, Marie marries the poet Henri de Régnier. However, her heart belongs to another — Pierre Louÿs, a dandy, erotomaniac, and photographer. He introduces Marie to a world of sexual and literary experimentation, where taboos exist only to be broken. The film is based on the real diaries and letters of prominent social figures of the time.
