The film tells about the life of the famous Latvian photographer and cameraman Guido Zvaigzne. His fate was very characteristic of the freedom-loving intellectuals of Latvia during the Soviet era. Innovative impulses in creativity and the desire to defend their own view of the world to tell people the truth – that has always been the hallmark of Guido. His tragic death was the result of an attempt to photograph the details of the events of 1991, when riot police opened an unauthorized fire in the city center of Riga.
