Aliens Beldar and Prymaat from the planet Remulak find themselves on Earth by accident after their ship crashes. Possessing an unusual head shape, they attempt to pass themselves off as ordinary immigrants from France. The family acquires a house in the suburbs, raises a daughter, and gradually grows accustomed to the human way of life. The migration service begins to monitor the strange neighbors, suspecting them of breaking the law. The protagonists must choose between returning to their home planet and maintaining their life in America.
