The story of writer Nick Weeks, a gay man who, along with Dr. Bruckner, raised public awareness of AIDS, warning of its dangers. It all began in the summer of 1981 when a gay friend, previously thought to be quite healthy, died in front of his eyes. Later, he began to notice that an unknown disease was affecting gay men.
