In May, 1945, in the liberated territory of Germany in a small town of Blankenheim within two days the Soviet soldiers have been carrying out a children rescue operation trying to save the kids from the Schutzstaffel werewolves. Together with the newspaper employee Tessa Gentser they would assist in the organization of the children's home, where the story of the child, abandoned by refugees and named by the Soviet soldiers as Alexander Malenkiy, would begin.
