The Earth gets distress signals from the planet Alpha, the constellation of Cassiopeia. According to the project of Victor Sereda the expedition is sent there. The team is formed of young people under 14 years, so that the crew of astronauts would be in their prime till the end of the flight . But because of the irresponsible behavior of the space ship gatecrasher Lobanov the final goal is reached much earlier than planned. Young crew of astronauts has a truly unique equipment - yet they have to overcome many challenges and demonstrate exceptional creativity.
