The Great Patriotic War, October 1943. Red Army Maj. Toporkov who escaped from a concentration camp, joins the guerrilla squad. He delivers the message from the prisoners to the guerilla warriors` commander. Concentration camp prisoners are going to upraise and they need weapons. Squad commander decided to send a wagon train with weapons and ammunition for rebels. However, the command also knows that they have a traitor operating in the squad, who reports all their plans to the enemies. Then the commander decides to send two wagon trains: one with the real weapons, and the second - a false wagon train to distract the Germans from the real one. So the guerilla wagon train, pursued by the German rangers, goes through the Polesia, through thickets and swamps, through the German rear areas and diverts Nazi forces. And there is no way back.
