Professor Rafal Vinchur is a famous Polish doctor. His brilliant career, bright high life, and well-being fly with the dust when his beautiful wife runs away from him with her lover. In desperation, Rafal gets drunk in a pub and becomes the victim of a robbery. When he awakes at an unknown location in the dump, beaten, without money and documents, he can not remember who he is, where, and why he's here. Professor accepts his shares of a tramp and begins wandering across Poland in search of odd jobs under the name of Anthony Kasiba. At one of the farms, Anthony meets an unfortunate crippled young man, the son of a miller, whom even qualified doctors were not able to help. And suddenly he realizes that somehow he knows = how to help the guy...
