The events take place in 1734. An ancient tribe of Voguls live in the territory of Russia. They have their own culture, faith and tradition connected to it. They worshipped their own goddess whose statue made of pure gold was standing on the mountain. But then it was hidden by the locals. There were people who wanted to find the hidden treasure, but with no luck. And now Ivan is sent to the Voguls because he has friends among them, so he would find out where is the gold deity is hidden and get freedom for that.
