The film is based on the play by Leonid Zorin. When Vladimir Bagrov, a successful capital architect, turns up in the small Siberian town, he meets Tatiana Shulga, a local factory worker. Vladimir is about to leave on a long trip abroad, and due to the delay on the station, his mood gets spoiled. With a new friend they start to irritate each other, but then realize that this expression is in fact a desire not to leave each other.
