It is quite dark and a very peculiar picture. An American with two daughters moved to Genoa, to escape from his wife’s death. One of the daughters begins to discover her female principle in the picturesque Italian town. However, the second girl is not so happy. Her mother's ghost begins to come to her, and gradually she begins to see everything that happens to her in more and more somber colors.
