The Japanese boxer will make his second defense of the WBC Bantamweight World Championship title. In July, he successfully retained the belt by knocking out Filipino Vincent Astrolabio in the first round, with a victory within the first three minutes. In three of his last four fights, "Freshmart" won by knockout, all within the fourth round. Many of his fights have been against fellow Thai boxers or opponents from other Asian countries.
