In the fourth round of the Champions League group stage, a match between Slavia and Arsenal will take place at Fortuna Arena in Prague. The home team occupies the twenty-eighth place with two points, while the visitor, along with four other teams, leads the table with nine points. The opponents have met twice in the Czech Republic in the 21st century. In the group stage of the 2007/08 Champions League season, the clubs drew 0-0. The teams also faced each other in the quarterfinal of the 2020/21 Europa League, where the Gunners secured a decisive 4-0 victory, with former London striker Alexandre Lacazette scoring a brace.

In the first round, the home team missed a chance for a home win against Bodo/Glimt, despite a two-goal advantage, finishing 2-2. Previously, the Gunners visited Prague twice for matches against Sparta in the 2000/01 and 2005/06 Champions League seasons, winning 1-0 and 2-0, respectively.
