Paris began their Champions League campaign with a 4-0 home win over Atalanta, followed by a 2-1 away victory against Barcelona and a 7-2 rout of Bayer in Leverkusen. Portuguese defender Nuno Mendes contributed to four goals. The capital club has scored the most in the tournament — thirteen goals. Over the past eleven years, the Parisians have hosted Bundesliga teams nine times, including RB Leipzig (1-0 in 2020/21 and 3-2 in 2021/22) and Borussia Dortmund (2-0 in 2019/20, 2-0 and 0-1 in 2023/24). Bayern have been dominant at home this season — beating Chelsea 3-1, Club Brugge 4-0, and thrashing their opponent in Cyprus 5-1. Harry Kane has scored five goals and shares the top scorer spot with former Paris forward Kylian Mbappé. Michael Olise and Nicolas Jackson have each contributed to four goals. Despite their strong start, the Munich side have lost four of their last nine away Champions League matches, conceding fifteen goals in those games.
