In the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League group stage at Aspmyra Stadium in Norway, Bodø/Glimt will host Monaco. This is the first official meeting between the two clubs in European competitions.

Under Kjetil Knutsen, Bodø/Glimt reached the semifinals of the Europa League last season. In the current Champions League campaign, the Norwegian side has been inconsistent: they drew against Slavia Prague and Tottenham before losing 1-3 to Galatasaray. In the home match against Monaco, the team aims to leverage their home advantage and attacking style, which has previously yielded results against higher-ranked opponents.

Monaco, following the departure of Adi Hütter, is now managed by Belgian coach Sébastien Pocognoli, formerly of Union Saint-Gilloise. The Monegasques enter the match after a narrow defeat to Paris FC in Ligue 1. In the Champions League, they have collected two points from draws against Manchester City and Tottenham, having lost the opening match 1-4 to Union Saint-Gilloise. The French club is looking to end their winless streak and improve their position in the group.
