The protagonist of this film adaptation of the cult video game, a young Prince Dastan, always defeated enemies in battles, but lost the kingdom because of the machinations of a treacherous courtier. Now Dastan will steal a powerful magical artifact from the hands of evildoers that can turn back time and make its owner the ruler of the world.
