Sister Elozius, a stern school director and fervent defender of the monastic traditions, faces a choice of her life: either she will show her fear and openly accuse the priest in insulting an African-American student, or she conceals her suspicions and doubts. Especially when the possible insult may hide something serious. This is a deep personal struggle between father Flynn and sister Elozius eventually develops into a question of faith and justice in the shade of a solitary "closed" church organization.
