Riley is a common 11-year-old schoolgirl guided by her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley's mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. For a time they peacefully live together, until Riley finds out she and her family have to move their cozy small town to a crowded San Francisco. Each of emotions believes that is knows better what to do in a difficult situation, and the girl’s mind turns into a complete mess. In order to adjust her life in a big city and get used to a new school, Riley’s emotions will have to work together.
