Seventeen-year-old Ali Jahani has recently moved to a small California town, but he has already gained a reputation as an unfriendly guy. Wherever he goes, he is met with a mountain of trouble: an angry uncle at home and aggressive classmates at school. Rejected by everyone but determined to become part of a new society, Ali joins the school wrestling team. This training gives him a chance to change his classmates' opinions of him, but he has to learn how to be a hero.
