The plot revolves around the royal court in France at the end of the eighteenth century. The main character is the dark-skinned composer and musician Joseph Bologne. For his talents and success, Chevalier de Saint-Georges is nicknamed the Black Mozart. Later, however, the hero's life changes when the man enters into an ill-fated love affair.
