Eleven-year-old Alexandre is used to having his every whim fulfilled. The more difficult it is for him to choose a birthday present. Out of all the toys in the mall, he chooses the dozing night watchman Sami. He agrees to spend a few days at the boy's house, fearing dismissal. However, Sami unexpectedly quickly assimilates with the new role. And if at first Alexandre seems cold and spoiled, then later he notices that the boy is just very lonely and needs a close person by his side.
