Life of a 19-year-old Alice Kingsley takes an unexpected turn. At the Victorian party thrown in her honor, Hamish makes a proposal to Alice, a rich, but stupid son of Lord and Lady Ascot. Without giving an answer, the girl runs away and goes for a rabbit, which she saw on the lawn. Rabbit is ordinary, but he wears a jacket and keeps looking at his pocket watch. Alice chases the White Rabbit through the meadow and sees him disappear down the rabbit hole. Then, suddenly, Alice falls there, flies down a fabulous tunnel and lands in a round hall with many doors. After drinking from a bottle labeled "DRINK ME", she decreases in size, and biting a cake with the words "EAT ME", she grows. Finally, passing the series of adventures, Alice falls through a door into a wonderful fantasy world that is called Underground country by its inhabitants. There she waits for a parade of colorful characters: a boastful Sonya, a mad Hatter, a mocking Cheshire Cat, a caterpillar named Abessalom drugged with a hookah, a creepy White Queen and her evil sister, the Queen of Hearts, a quarrelsome and irritable ruler of the Underground country.
