Dan Burns knows firsthand about the difficulties of life. He's a widower, father of three daughters, who has lived enough to have his own opinion on everything. Dan works as a journalist at a prestigious newspaper where he cleverly and successfully leads a column of useful tips to all who need them. At one point, he is head over heels in love with a girl, not knowing that she is his brother’s girlfriend. Since then, his life and the world view are undergoing significant changes, and Dan realizes that among his advice to people there is no main thing - "While planning your life, get ready for surprises!"
