The Croatian national team builds its game on a strong foundation of experienced players in midfield. The hosts are traditionally dangerous thanks to their balanced midfield and high passing quality. Croatia will need to deny its opponent space from the opening minutes in order to deal with the pressure and dictate the terms on home turf.

Spain, under Luis de la Fuente, enters this round looking to control the match from a position of strength. The Spaniards will rely on their well-established core, aiming to take control of possession from the opening minutes and dictate the tempo through quick movement in the final third and the high individual quality of their attacking players.

These opponents previously met in an official competition at the Euro 2024 group stage, where Spain recorded a 3-0 victory. This makes the upcoming Nations League encounter a highly competitive matchup, with Croatia motivated to respond, while the visitors will look to assert their status at the highest level.
