Inter has consistently delivered strong results at home in international competitions. In its last 22 home matches in the Champions League, the Italian club has recorded 15 wins. In addition to matches against its upcoming opponent, the Milan side has regularly hosted other Ukrainian teams. The history of these encounters includes matches against Dynamo Kyiv, which ended in a 2-1 win and a draw, as well as a 2-1 Europa League victory over Dnipro.

Shakhtar faces difficulties in away matches in the Champions League. In its last 10 away games in the tournament, the Ukrainian team has recorded just one win, beating Belgian side Antwerp 3-2. Moreover, since the fall of 2021, the club has managed to keep a clean sheet away from home in Europe's premier club competition only once, recording a draw against Bologna. The visitors' record in Italy in the Champions League remains challenging: of nine away matches against Italian teams, the Ukrainian side has won only twice.
