Captain Ratanov has a very dangerous job. He neutralizes underwater mines by which the bays of Ukrainian seas after World War II have been generously studded. He made a mistake that nearly cost him his life, but the service is service and after discharge from the hospital Ratanov returns to the sea in search of another deadly fascist’s toys.
