Ben Randall, a legendary swimmer lifeguard once lost his entire team in a terrible accident. To find his place in life and forget about that terrible event, he decides to go to the Coast Guard, where his responsibilities include training of young lifeguards. There, he encounters a young and talented swimmer with though character, Jake Fischer. During the training Ben helps Jake combine his character with his abilities. At the end of the training they go to Alaska in the Bering Sea together, where Jake will have to pass the most important exam.
