Just before Christmas, Matthias quits his job in Germany and returns to his native Transylvanian village. Hoping to reconnect with his young son Rudi, care for his elderly father Otto, and possibly rekindle a romance with his former lover Csilla, Matthias finds himself in a community shaken when new workers arrive at the local factory.
