The 2024 documentary series Shark explores shark attacks on humans and what triggers this behavior. In 2023, fatal shark attacks doubled compared to previous years. Viewers will learn about the predators responsible for these alarming figures and meet survivors of the encounters.

Several aggressive shark species are behind the majority of fatal incidents. The series examines how they hunt and where these attacks occur. Experts are tracking over 3,000 documented incidents. The project highlights three main regions whose waters are notoriously dangerous due to shark populations.

The British-made Shark series is narrated by Ian Shaw, known for his work on EastEnders, which earned over 250 awards and nine BAFTA TV nominations. Editing and color grading were handled by Matt Pamplin, recognized for the film Susu, winner of the Cardiff International Film Festival Jury Prize.

BAFTA winner Pete Collins, known for Lovers, Pervy Tales, and Funeral Parlor Fun, also contributed to the series. Post-production was managed by Virtual Post, while graphics were created by the talented digital artists at Creative Nuts. Archival footage was provided by Buck Forrester, Caters Media Group, and others.
