After the end of the Trojan War, Odysseus, king of Ithaca, sets out on a perilous voyage home. His journey to familiar shores is prolonged for ten years by the wrath of powerful gods. Along the way, the hero and his loyal companions must confront legendary monsters and mythical creatures. They encounter the fearsome Cyclops Polyphemus and the cunning sorceress Circe, and face the deadly call of the Sirens, along with many other dangers of the ancient world.
