Artist Portrait is a 2017 documentary series devoted entirely to classical, modern, and contemporary art. Beginning with ancient artistic traditions and extending to the present day, the program introduces viewers to remarkable masterpieces and the artists behind them. In each episode, participants in an art competition are given a single theme and just forty-five minutes to interpret it on canvas. Five artists work side by side, creating original pieces inspired by specific historical events and cultural subjects before a live audience.

The first episode takes viewers to Le Havre, France. Throughout the series, artists compete by tackling themes such as the Second World War, transforming them into unique visual works. Each episode runs for just over fifty minutes. The program is hosted by Monaco native Vanessa Guillot. Among the five featured artists is the talented painter Malte, who brings her own distinctive perspective to the competition.

The directing team behind Artist Portrait includes French journalist and television executive Bruno Lecluse. He received an award for promoting musical diversity from the Interprofessional Union of Independent Radio and Television Stations and is also known for his work on John Paul II in the Holy Land. In addition, he serves as Chairman and Managing Director of Museum TV. He is joined by Museum TV director Sébastien Meissan.

The series was also produced with the involvement of Marielle Devera, founder and head of 11 Screen, who brings more than twenty-five years of experience in the audiovisual industry. Her previous credits include Miss France, Exclusive, and Dream of a Day. Other participating artists include Mathieu-Anozer, Benji, Psyck d’Ethnik, and Melissa Coquilla. Their creations are evaluated and judged by Benoît Maître.
