The project The Decisive Moment profiles thirty photographers from all walks of the art world. Viewers will explore their creative journeys and revisit three pivotal photographs that defined their careers. Each episode tells the story of an individual photographer, highlighting both their personal and professional challenges.

The museum series The Decisive Moment was filmed in France in 2018. It spans several seasons, with the episode featuring Lissa Rivera serving as the premiere of season two. Each episode has a runtime of thirteen minutes.

Lissa Rivera is a Brooklyn-based photographer whose critically acclaimed, award-winning work has been exhibited internationally. Her latest project explores the connection between photography and identity on a personal level, focusing on her domestic partner as her muse. Rivera was selected as a Woman to Watch for the National Museum of Women in the Arts' biennial exhibition.

Another iconic figure featured in the series is Henri Cartier-Bresson. A French photographer and master of 20th-century candid photography, he is widely considered the father of photojournalism and a pioneer of documentary photography. Cartier-Bresson's working methods became legendary in the photography world; for instance, he was famous for his efforts to remain entirely unseen by his subjects, even wrapping the shiny metal parts of his camera in black tape to avoid drawing attention.

The Decisive Moment was produced in 2018 by Museum TV, a media network specializing in films and programs about art and museums. The production team includes Muriel Deverat, Caroline Naahr, and Nicolas Tar.
